Fast & Easy Easter Project! - Custom Gift Tags

If you're looking for a fun and unique way to add some personalised flair to your gifts, why not try making some custom gift tags? They're easy to make and add a cute touch to any present! It's Easter so we reached out to Laser Blanks  to see if they could do a custom carrot shape for the occassion. Ofcourse they said Yes!

Our order arrived quickly with everything we needed to assemble the tags. We just needed our Siser Juliet , Siser PSV Permanent Adhesive  and our tools and we were ready to get started.

Firstly we removed all the protecting coating on the acrylic pieces. This layer protects the pieces from scratching in transit.

Next up we dabbed a touch of the E6000 Glue on the acrylic pieces and attached them to the Plywood backing layer ensuring the carrot tops hole aligned with the mdf hole for the string later. (Make sure you are in a well ventilated area).

Set these aside and wait for the glue to set up. This doesn't take long which is handy to keep this a quick project.

Whilst waiting for the glue to set up, we grabbed out the SIser Juliet Cutting Machine. If you haven't seen this incredible machine in action head on over to youtube or come visit us and we'll happily demo it for you. So quiet and super speedy at cutting very fine detail.

The Name tags are itsy bitsy 1.5cm x 5cm. We picked a suitable font and sent it through Wifi to the machine to cut out the names using Siser PSV Permanent Adhesive.

Once cut, we weeded (removed excess vinyl) and applied our transfer tape and used our squeegee to ensure a good adhesion.

Next up was lifting the decals from the backing paper and applying to the tags and giving it a quick squeegee before removing the transfer tape.

It's really that easy!

Once your carrots and tags are ready, simply assemble together using some string, ribbon or jute rope and And just like that, we had some adorable custom carrot gift tags ready to add to our small gifts for our son's daycare friends.

Not only are these gift tags easy to make, but they're also a fun way to get creative and add some personality to your gifts. It's quick and easy and perfect for those small vinyl scraps you've been collecting. Give it a try and see how it can add some unique charm to your gifting!
